Dayo Olopade Lamolo

Speaking

I help leaders and organisations think in non-obvious ways about their culture and capabilities, with ideas drawn from technology, media and the African innovation economy.

London-based. Speaking globally across the US, UK, Europe and Africa.

Three talks I love to give

Available as a keynote, fireside conversation or practical workshop.

  1. Creative Intelligence

For media, marketing, entertainment, publishing and creative-industry leadership teams.

How creative teams can keep their judgement, craft and rights in view as the tools and the audience change. Everything I know, from IP law to social engagement metrics and global production, is fair game.

The audience leaves with a practical way to decide what to protect and which rights questions to settle first.

  2. Formality Bias

For leadership teams, product organisations, strategy offsites and innovation conferences.

Formality bias is my term, documented in my writing and talks, for a fixation on formal institutions and process over the informal forces that actually drive progress. This talk turns it into a tool for leaders: how to spot when the official process is hiding what is really working, and how to test new ideas close to the people using them.

The audience leaves with a way to find the workarounds already succeeding in their organisation, and judge them on results rather than stale operating myths.

  3. Curating Connection

For brand and marketing leaders, media companies, cultural organisations and customer-experience teams.

Why participation, immediacy, live formats, and shared identity build stronger relationships than more content. Drawn from running live creative communities, brand events and audience development across media and entertainment.

The audience leaves with concrete ways to move people from watching to belonging.

Each talk is built on original commercial and journalistic insight, used as evidence of how people innovate under constraint.
